The United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Area would like to thank the Greater Grand Forks community for supporting our 2012 Toys for Tots drive.
With residents’ help, we were able to provide toys to 238 families with 587 children.
Thank you to all of the families, individuals and local businesses who donated money and toys or coordinated a toy drive in an effort to help make the holidays brighter for children in need.
We especially want to thank WDAZ News and Whalen’s Moving and Storage for coordinating a community-wide drive that enabled us to meet the needs of the families on our waiting list and beyond.
We also extend a special thank you to Acme Tool Crib, Fed Ex, Mary Noel and Xcel Energy as well as to all the wonderful volunteers who assisted with toy distribution and set up.
The kindness and generosity of the Greater Grand Forks community never ceases to amaze.
